Brian's Bee Butter Carpenter Bee

Easy to use—just cut the tube and fill the bee hole. It’s almost like silicone, filling effortlessly, and then you’re good to go. Now, we just have to see if they come back.

I have a few wood borers and found some holes, so I decided to give this a try. So far, so good—it reminds me of silicone caulking. It’s very sticky, but it seems to be working.

I got Brian’s Bee Butter sticky trap mainly as a preventative measure after dealing with carpenter bees boring into my deck. So far, I haven’t seen any new signs of activity—no new holes or buzzing around the wood—so I’m taking that as a good sign! The trap was easy to use; I just applied a little at the hole location to keep them away. For now, I’m happy with the results, and it should last for the whole year.

Every late spring, the carpenter bees invade my front porch. I have so many that even woodpeckers (the big ones) come and bore into the wood more to eat the bees. I squeezed the filler into the holes, and I did find two dead bees, but to be fair, I think the peak carpenter bee season is over for now. I’m looking forward to seeing fewer next year thanks to treating them this season. I would definitely purchase this again.

I haven’t seen results yet, but I’m hopeful that this will work. I’ve applied it to the holes the bees have created and am waiting to see the outcome. It’s very easy to apply, and the instructions are simple to follow.

We have paper wasps entering through a double-hung window that we never open. We applied this to the small gaps they crawl into, where the spray foam typically wears off after a few days. It's an excellent weatherproof solution for those tight spots.

Great product. We used this along with one of the traps, and it eliminated the carpenter bees that were destroying our wood pergola.

12/10, this stuff is magic! If you have carpenter bees, THIS is your solution! We've tried everything. Just put this in all our holes, and within 10-15 minutes, carpenter bees were raining down. Going to plug the holes tomorrow, but WOW!

This stuff started working in less than 20 minutes after I filled up the bore holes! I got strategic with it. I bought some traps at my local Lowe's (the ones I ordered here got lost), then I siliconed shut all but one exit on each side to make them more likely to eat the bee butter (sticky paste in the holes that draws them out). The bee butter acts as both bait and poison, and they end up getting drawn to the trap with the bait oil in the little jar/cup.
Would 1000% recommend, especially for the value for the money!

The carpenter bees were tearing up my back patio. I found this product, and within just a few minutes of applying it to the holes, they started dropping.

I filled the holes early one morning, and within a couple of hours, I found about 28 dead bees on the ground! I’m still seeing a few male carpenter bees hovering around, but I’ll eventually take care of them one by one with wasp spray.

Ok, I literally put this in the bee's hole, and within 10 minutes, a carpenter bee was twitching on the ground. It’s easy to find their holes—just look for the sawdust on the ground or nearby. Apply a dab of this to the hole, and watch them die. I’ve tried everything to get rid of these pests, but a direct attack on their holes with this stuff is by far the best solution. First time leaving a customer review for a product I bought on Amazon. I started seeing carpenter bumble bees around the rafters and under the roof flashing. I climbed up on a ladder and applied Brian's Bee Cream inside their nests and near the opening. It’s not sticky or tacky, more like a cream or butter, and it washes off easily.

After just an hour, I found 30 dead or dying carpenter bees on the ground and in the gutter. There are probably dozens more inside their nests, and they’re dying too. This product works fast and is lethal to carpenter bees. I would definitely buy it again!

This product seems to work very quickly—often within minutes. It can be a bit unpleasant to apply after bees have already entered the holes, so I prefer to use it later in the day when I’ve observed activity, or potentially earlier in the season before they become active.

Once applied, it appears to stop them from continuing to use the same entry points, and they eventually stop returning to those areas. I’ve been dealing with carpenter bee damage to my porch for a long time and was running out of options, especially since I don’t want to use broad chemical sprays that could affect other beneficial insects.

This product is very sticky and stays in place well inside the holes, which seems to help it work effectively over time. Based on my experience so far, I plan to purchase more for next season.

Used to have what felt like tons of bees constantly swarming around my house. Three days later, there are none. I even placed some of the dead ones in a trap to help attract any that the “bee butter” didn’t get.

Insert the nozzle about half an inch into the hole and squeeze out a small dab. Then move on to the next hole.

In most cases, you’ll start seeing dead bees before you even finish treating all the holes.

For hard-to-reach spots, you can use a craft paintbrush to dab a small amount around the outside of the hole, or get as much into the opening as possible.

I was searching for a product to help with the carpenter bees at our house and came across this one by accident. Honestly, don’t be discouraged that it isn’t a big-name brand—it definitely works.

I applied it directly into the holes on our deck, and the bees didn’t come back. I know the new season has just started, so I may need to reapply since it recommends using it yearly, but even if I have to, the fact that it worked all last spring and summer with no issues was absolutely worth it.

This stuff works great!! I have a carport where carpenter bees have been drilling holes. I went out around dusk and applied it to any visible openings. It stayed in place for a couple of days before we got some heavy rain.

This is a great product to use alongside bee traps. It coats the holes in the wood with a sticky substance, preventing bees from reusing the existing entry points they’ve already made. As a result, they’re more likely to go into the nearby traps instead—problem solved!

Where did this stuff even come from??? It’s the ONLY thing that has worked for us on carpenter bees. We were completely swarmed and couldn’t even enjoy our back porch.

My husband squirted some into each wood hole, and by the next day we went outside and saw bees just lying there! I haven’t seen a single one since. I feel like I need to buy stock in this stuff—it’s honestly AMAZING!
